A Reason for Hope – Shropshire Churches Conference

British reserve? Mildly embarrassed? Simply don’t know where to start? There are all sorts of places we find ourselves in when it comes to sharing the Christian faith.

So what might it mean to “always be ready”? And how might we – as individuals and as local churches – speak about our “reason for hope” with confidence?

This day conference will be an opportunity to know more deeply all that God has achieved in Jesus Christ and done in our lives. It will equip us to share that good news, and engage with some of the big themes in apologetics and the contemporary world. And together we will seek God’s grace as we live out this faith in the towns and villages where we live and which we serve.

Our speaker Revd Dr Michael Lloyd

Michael is the Principal of Wycliffe Hall, the school of theology and mission within Oxford University. He is author of Café Theology, a 400 page canter through the whole of Christian theology, as well as a regular presenter of “Godpod“, a monthly podcast discussing burning issues of God, theology, life and much more. A friend once said of him that he has “the unique ability simultaneously to raise and lower the tone of any conversation”!
