Meole Estate

Bacon buddies, Bible and Bingo, and a group of teenagers getting involved in practical projects around the local area may seem a long way off what many people think IMG_2940of as ‘Church’. But these are just some of the recent events and activities which make up the networks of people who live on the Meole Estate and who seek to grow as followers of Jesus.

Headed up by a great team, there are many ways you can get involved, make friends, and join a growing group of Christians of all ages on the Meole Estate.

For more information contact Gordon Lamb, the Pioneer Community Minister who lives and works on the Meole Estate.

Taste and See

A monthly midweek gathering on the Meole Estate, has been running since 2012.Taste and See

Described as “like church… but not like church”, it aims to be a friendly and welcoming space to encounter God in the middle of the week, and be church in a relevant and real way on the Meole Estate. It is a place where you can find support from others and from God for both the good times and the challenging times of life.

It is a place where you can be yourself and talk openly and honestly about your faith wherever you are on your spiritual journey whether a beginner or an old timer….

We start with freshments, and also provide activities for pre-school children. Anyone and everyone is welcome to come along and join us, for more information contact us on: 01743 362 399

Holiday At Home

Holiday at Home is for senior citizens and others in Shrewsbury who might otherwise struggle to have a holiday.

In 2015 Holiday at Home returned for its 9th year in a row, seeing over 30 holiday makers get together for three days at Prestfelde School. Their time together included games, trips, great food, and the now-legendary Wii competition. And at the end of each day, the guests could return to the comfort of their own homes.

We’re already talking about this year’s Holiday at Home 2016. Contact us for more information.
