The Fiwila Room
|
The Fiwila Room is situated on the ground floor, offering easy access to the kitchen and reception area, with tranquil views over the Glebe field and Millennium Garden. The Fiwila Room lends itself well to boardroom, theatre or cafe style events for around 20 – 30, depending on layout. Incorporating its own sound system with hearing loop, projector, screen and DVD player, the room is ideal for a wide range of meetings and events. “The what? Room?” is a common response to this oddly named room. Fiwila (pronounced phonetically) is a community in rural Zambia, which has been linked with Trinity Churches for some years. During the building of The Trinity Centre, the Church pledged 10% of everything we raised to help with building work in the community. A school was refurbished and extended, including classrooms, science labs, and dormitories with accessories such as beds, mattresses and a playground. The link continues through a charity begun by church members, the Shropshire-Fiwila Partnership. |
