We’re delighted to be hosting an election hustings this year on Thursday 5th December 2019. Taking place at Holy Trinity Meole Brace, and organised by Churches Together in Shrewsbury, it will feature all the local candidates in an evening of lively debate and conversation. The evening will be hosted by Rt Revd Sarah Bullock, the Bishop of Shrewsbury. And the chair will be Revd Phil Cansdale, Area Dean of Shrewsbury.

All five Prospective Parliamentary Candidates from Shrewsbury and Atcham have been invited:

  • Julia Buckley (Labour)
  • Julian Dean (Green Party)
  • Nat Green (Liberal Democrats)
  • Daniel Kawczynski (Conservative)
  • Hannah Locke (Independent)

This is an open forum meeting for everyone in the constituency. A very full attendance is expected, so we advise people to come early. It will also be livestreamed via our website, and twitter account @TrinChShrews.

The first half of the evening will be space for three individuals to tell something of their story, and how some of the big issues of the day impacts on local people in the community. The second half of the evening will be the more traditional hustings format.

Find out more? Click on some of the links to the right. Or submit a question to be asked on the evening. We certainly can’t promise to ask everyone, but it’s always helpful to have some questions to ask the candidates as the evening progresses.
